The artist for that particular piece was Andrea Sipl -- one of Chris Dodson's (<a href="http://indiegamesguild.com/ravenborne" rel="nofollow">Ravenborne</a>'s) art students...

Thanks for the shoutout :P

I can't wait to get started on the enhanced code generator for the piece you're doing now... it's going to be awesome!

Nice art... who's the artist?

One thing I've found helps in situations like that is not seeing all of those hours as "wasted effort". Instead, trying to look at it as a learning experience - a necessary step you had to go through in order to discover what you needed to be building, and get a stronger idea of what works and why.

Sometimes it does feel like you're retiring good code before its time, and that can be hard. But then, even your best code will often end up being transitional. You'll write and rewrite, improve and enhance, or simply build a slightly different one next time to suit different needs. Such is the nature of the work.

Oh man so many times I have had to rip my bandages off. It might be a little more sore for the first couple weeks as it heals but at least you are free to do what you came to do!
